Meaning in the Machine

Words, Meaning, and Culture in Creative Communities

Art • MIND • Culture

I’m currently an undergraduate student at Washington State University, completing dual degrees in Anthropology and Neuroscience. My research interests lie in how humans create meaning through art, ritual, and creativity, examined through ethnographic, biological, and cognitive perspectives. In particular, I’m interested in the regulatory and adaptive functions of creativity and art, drawing on cross-cultural data, comparative biology, and computational methods to explore how aesthetic practices shape human experience, cognition, and social life.
